MatchaMed Platform

Project Overview:

Match-a-Med was developed as a specialized networking and job-matching platform for the German healthcare sector. Doctors, medical students, clinics, and hospitals were brought together through a LinkedIn-like environment focused specifically on healthcare job search and recruitment.

The Problem:

Suitable job opportunities were difficult to find by German doctors and medical students, while qualified candidates were difficult to reach by clinics and hospitals.

Key Challenges:

Job opportunities had to be searched for across multiple generic job platforms. A specialized platform dedicated to the healthcare industry was not available. Specific medical specialties were difficult to match with appropriate positions. Application processes were often time-consuming. Sufficient transparency about clinic cultures and work environments was not always provided. The Solution

Match-a-Med was created as a specialized platform through which doctors could be connected with clinics and hospitals throughout Germany.

Several features were introduced to make the job-matching process more relevant and efficient:

• Detailed profiles could be created by doctors, including specialties and personal preferences.
• Job opportunities could be posted by clinics with specific requirements.
• Ideal connections could be suggested through a smart matching algorithm.
• Opportunities could be explored by location through an interactive map.
• The application process could be streamlined, allowing time to be saved by both candidates and employers.

How It Was Designed:

A straightforward design approach was followed to create an effective solution that could address the needs of healthcare professionals and organizations.

The needs and challenges of doctors and clinic administrators were explored through discussions with potential users.

02 — The Structure Was Planned

The platform structure and user journeys were mapped out to establish how the system would function and how it would be navigated by different user types.

03 — The Design Was Created

The interface was designed with a strong focus on simplicity and ease of use. The overall experience was structured to make job discovery, matching, and applications easier to navigate.

04 — The Design Was Refined

The design was improved based on feedback and input received from potential users. Adjustments were made to ensure that the platform experience could better address the identified needs and challenges.

Final Design:

A clean and professional experience was created for healthcare professionals. The final design was structured around the connection of doctors, medical students, clinics, and hospitals within a specialized healthcare-focused platform.

Job opportunities could be discovered through search and filtering, relevant positions could be explored by location, and detailed job information could be reviewed before an application was submitted.

Through Match-a-Med, a focused digital environment was established in which healthcare professionals could be connected with relevant career opportunities and healthcare organizations could be connected with qualified candidates.

Outcome:

A specialized job-matching experience was created for the German healthcare sector, where the discovery of opportunities, candidate matching, and application processes could be brought together within a single platform.
